New Year's Resolutions for 2009

I’m not generally one for vocalizing my personal yearly resolutions, but since one of them is to blog more, I’m going to share a few resolutions that will impact me professionally and publicly. So, here are a few:
- Carry my camera with me 3 days a week.
- Help the collective improvement of the web.
- Blog, blog, blog.
Carry my camera with me 3 days a week
In the past year, I’ve become terrible at getting out and taking photos. I believe that this mostly has to do with the fact that I haven’t been carrying my camera with me wherever I go like I used to. My main goal with this is to have plenty of new photos. So, how am I supposed to take new photos without my camera? This is the first step toward piquing my interest in my art again.
Help the collective improvement of the web
I’m intending this resolution to be quite open-ended because I feel that there are just too many ways to really contribute. From projects, to filing browser bug reports, to teaching others, even to just plain vocalizing opinions openly for discussion. I don’t expect to create any monumental changes, but I hope that I can at least help.
Blog, blog, blog
This is another area that I’ve let myself slip from, even though I was doing really good with it for a month or two. I know, this goes in part with the previous resolution, but I think it’s important to call out on its own. Zach developed a system that I’m using that is dramatically helping me keep track of thoughts, notes, links, and information as a sort of secondary digital brain. So far, I’ve tracked drafts for 3 blog posts as well as enough notes and other content to fill up a couple months of blog posts.
Well that’s all of them for now. I’m sure there are a few more in my head that I’ve forgotten… Oh, maybe the last one is to work on my memory skills. Ha.
