Until operating systems and web browsers are resolution-independent, pixels will still be king. I started pushing pixels when I was in the 6th grade, making icons and cursors for the Mac OS. This was back in the days of 640x480 screen resolutions. Ah the good old days.

Skip all the blah blah and get to the point.

As a rainy-day project, I wanted to return to my roots and make another set of pixel-based icons. I decided to make it extra-challenging and limit my palette as well: I would restrict myself to using only whole-number hexadecimal greyscale colors (#000000, #111111, #222222, …, #EEEEEE, #FFFFFF).

So, without further delay, I present to you: bwpx.icns.

Afterthoughts From MinneWebCon

On Monday, I attended MinneWebCon ’08 at my alma mater, the University of Minnesota. While I will admit to not being one that really goes out of my way to attend conferences, this one didn’t disappoint.

Mentioned in a Book

I'll admit it, I've never really been that good at reading and replying to emails. But not too long ago I received one that really caught my eye. Apparently my site has been mentioned in a book! It's not much, just a link reference for the Gallery Project icons that I made.
